What is EFR first aid?

EFR first aid is a training organization providing first aid solutions to the Mar Menor Golf Resort residents community and any other local individuals.   With this in mind we are committed to providing a simple, easy to understand first aid course that meets the best practice guidelines and is internationally recognized.

EFR first aid was set up by David Clarke originally to provide Scuba Divers with the knowledge and ability to deal with emergencies that might arise and to complete their Rescue Diver training. (David is also a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor click here for information on scuba diving activities).   Since then EFR first aid has expanded the range of courses to include the specific requirements for Children's CPR First Aid and the first aid requirements for the approval of Appointed Persons for Nurseries and Child Minders.

Why choose EFR first aid?
EFR first aid has a unique approach to teaching CPR and first aid.  Firstly it must be an enjoyable experience and yet still be presented in a professional manner. The final outcome must be that the participant feels confident in their CPR and first aid abilities and will have the self-belief to react to an emergency situation.

How do we do this?
Our courses, developed by Emergency First Response Corporation (click here for more information) are based around proven teaching techniques allowing students to absorb the information in a relaxed and low stress environment which leads in turn to confidence in their own ability. We use easy to understand handbooks with plenty of colourful pictures and graphics to illustrate the techniques. Not only do you read about it but you also see the techniques in action on a DVD. This is further supported by instructor lead discussions. You will then have the opportunity to practice and perfect what you have learnt on responsive and lifelike mannequins. This is especially useful in the Child Care course. We broaden your skills and expand your confidence by creating scenarios to simulate real life emergencies and injuries. You will have plenty of hands on rehearsal. This not only makes for a lot of fun, but it helps to prepare you for what you really may see.
